My name is Eliseo Garza and I’m a sophomore majoring in Computer Science at Texas A&M University with an ambition to help others advance their programming knowledge. I currently serve as the Director of Technical Affairs within TAMU SHPE . I’ve focused on contributing to members' technical and professional development through workshops and guides.
In my free time, I enjoy working on personal projects, playing soccer, going to the gym, or trying something new!
Ensured academic success for over 40 students by guiding them through basic python topics, code implementations, and course assignments. Responsible for grading over 50 assignments per week while providing targeted feedback to students.
Collaborated to design a solution that would prevent flooding and minimize hazards due to rising sea levels. Developed a script through MATLAB using over 1 million data points to allow users to input a future date and receive an approximation of the rise in sea level. Established a financial plan based off of similar projects while showcasing a potential timeline for the construction and development of wetlands.
Utilized JavaScript to maintain and update an Automated Point Sheet responsible for calculating membership points of 300+ members within the organization. Assisted students through the maintenance and development of online guides such as a chemistry guide. Introduced members to fundamental front-end web development through weekly meetings consisting of relevant programming examples and applications.
I created a chemistry guide using Markdown files, Docusaurus, and GitHub repositories to serve as a resource for students taking related courses. Additionally, I outlined the process required to build and maintain guides for both current and future contributors.
This website was created to showcase both my experiences and projects that I've been a part of. I designed and developed this website using HTML5 and CSS while hosting it through GitHub Pages. Additionally, I imported and utilized Bootstrap to ensure responsiveness on a variety of screen sizes.
